Javier Loarte is a Spanish born/New York based filmmaker.
After receiving a BFA in Psychology he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study a Film MFA at Columbia University. He graduated with honors in May 2015.
His films have screened in more than 100 Film Festivals, including Telluride, Montreal, Los Angeles, Palm Springs… and at Museums of Contemporary Art such as the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Tate Modern in London.
For the last 7 years Javier Loarte works as a Freelance Editor in documentaries, commercials and fiction.
He has worked for United Nations, Coca-Cola, MTV, Complex, Hillary for America, Harper’s Bazaar, TED, Planned Parenthood...
