Javier Loarte received a BFA in Psychology and soon after was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study Film at Columbia University, where he graduated with an MFA in May 2015. 

His films have screened in more than a hundred film festivals, including Telluride, Montreal, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs and at museums of contemporary art, including the Pompidou Centre and the Tate Modern, as well as on television.

For the last 7 years Javier Loarte works as a freelance editor in documentaries, commercials and fiction. His clients include United NationsMTV, Complex, Coca-Cola, Hillary for America, Harper’s Bazaar, Makers, Success Academy, TED, Planned Parenthood...
